About Me

I’m a much better doctor than a fisherman, but I like to do both 🙂 (not at the same time).  I started this as a place to post some content that won’t make it into a medical journal – i.e. from tips on enjoying a fishing or cottage trip while living with lung cancer to how to help someone who is trying to quit or stay quit from smoking when they are coming on a fishing trip with you….  I also started this as a way to raise awareness/talk about lung cancer.

I’m a practicing physician – medical oncologist – and assistant Professor at Queen’s University in Kingston, and come from Northern Ontario originally.  My clinical practice is specialized with lung cancer and breast cancer patients at the current time.
